Academic Research

What is the best way to present such boring content but rich of information? I ask myself. No, this is not the orange cat, as he is sleeping right now. I am Sirinapa. I am thinking about how to present my previous work so, you guys can comprehend it easily. So, first start, a poster presentation, perhaps?

Summary

To summarizing my research in 200 words (exact), it would be:

This study compared the effectiveness of three emotion regulation strategies – cognitive reappraisal, attentional distraction, and affect labeling – under cognitive fatigue and non-fatigue conditions. 46 participants were randomly assigned to conditions and instructed to use the strategies while viewing emotion-eliciting pictures. Self-reported negative emotions and skin conductance responses were measured.

Results showed that reappraisal was more effective than distraction and affect labeling at reducing negative emotions in both fatigue conditions based on self-report. Skin conductance measures found reappraisal and distraction were similarly effective and superior to affect labeling. Notably, no differences were found between the cognitive fatigue and non-fatigue conditions, suggesting the strategies’ effectiveness may not be highly sensitive to reduced cognitive resources.

The study concludes that reappraisal appears most effective overall, consistent with prior research. However, it did not replicate previous findings of cognitive fatigue impacting emotion regulation. Limitations include the student sample which may differ from the general population. Future studies could include a more diverse participant pool.

What a boring content, right? I thought so too.

I also conducted a semi-experiment on how to change attitudes towards Gay men; but clearly, it is a subject for another day.

Feel free to check out my @researchgate as I worked as an adjunct Lecturer in Experimental design and Analysis and Survey Design and Analysis, Cognitive Psychology Laboratory at @chulalongkornUniversity.

Before you go, if you are interested in R Language and Statistic Lesson, check out my @Github. I posted several contents from beginning of R Logic to how to do a Moderation Analysis. Enjoy.
